Hi I’m Sam Birnbaum! I have been a practicing mental health therapist since 2014 and most recently moved to Austin, seeing clients virtually all over the state of Texas.
While much of my training focused on addictions, I found passion in helping those with “over-controlled” tendencies, perfectionism and high achieving, that were looking for peace and flexibility to increase their quality of life.
Much of my later studies have focused on helping those with negative body image and a relationship with exercise and food that is holding them back from living their best life and being fully present.
I’ve helped many people escape a negative cycle of self-loathing and a need for control that was keeping them from achieving the quality of life they wanted, and I hope to help you too!
My goal as a therapist is to help you see progress and increase quality of life— not keep you as a client forever. My style of therapy is direct, person centered and one catered to each individuals’ needs.
